NSCAD University invites applications for a tenure track position in painting at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek a candidate with an active studio practice who will help shape the future of painting, artistic research, and pedagogy within the vibrant environment of Atlantic Canada's only dedicated art university.
We seek a candidate who will help shape the future of artistic research and pedagogy at NSCAD. The chosen candidate will be an artist with an active painting practice, who is engaged in key conversations in contemporary art, and who demonstrates aptitude for involving students in those conversations. The candidate will have the capacity to teach objective, non-objective, and expanded approaches to painting; they will combine strong technical skills with intellectual breadth and dynamic pedagogy. We seek an engaged and committed colleague who will thrive in our teaching and learning community.
