POSITION SUMMARY:
Representing the Company’s portfolio of innovative products, the Sr Business Solutions Manager is responsible for leading the promotion technical plumbing solutions to new and existing contractors and wholesalers. As well as plan, direct, and execute sales activity to ensure effective development and budget achievement of western Canadian sales business. The ideal candidate will have strong people leadership, account management and wholesale sales experience with plumbing and/or HVAC products.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for management of the sales planning and execution process for field sales personnel and sales agencies.
- Identify and qualify sales within region, following leads, participating in organizations, attending trade shows and conferences.
- Responsible for conducting ongoing comprehensive product training to all sales outlets/distributors, sales agencies, contractors and specification generators.
- Responsible for proposing annual and monthly sales budget and forecast for the region.
- Monitor and analyze field sales reports, interpret results and take corrective action to achieve sales targets by maintaining call plan and action list for wholesale customers.
- Build a network of contractors through solicitations and follow-up for conversion to company product portfolio.
- Build a pipeline of new business opportunities in residential, commercial, industrial, HVAC, and MRO segments and manage the progress from inception to completion
- Monitor market conditions and trends, product innovations, competitor products, sales and pricing.
- Provide merchandising/pop material to sales outlets and negotiate counter space to maximize brand exposure.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with the contractor network, distributors and sales outlets.
- Embrace and support growing business demands in our constantly changing marketplace.
- Provide accurate reporting and analysis of sales results, sales administration.
- Travel within Region. Seldom US travel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience with selling and sales management in the wholesale distribution channel.
- Experienced using CRM, ideally Salesforce.
- A passion for managing people and closing technical product sales.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A driven, self-motivated team player with solid ethics and integrity, requiring minimal supervision in delivering established goals.
- Adaptable to work with a diverse customer base and sales team.
