We are recruiting on behalf of a large Canadian company headquartered in Markham who has experienced growth through acquisitions, gaining market share as a progressive industry leader in the manufacturing and consumer business sector.
They are seeking a progressive Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with strong accounting, financial reporting, and consolidations experience to lead and manage the global entities and business operations.
Key responsibilities and oversight:
• Consolidation and management reporting for Canadian and global operations including covenant reporting with lenders to support treasury reporting
• Controllership functions supporting close and reporting for head office and other key leaders
• Develop schedules for budgeting, forecasting projections, presentation and support to corporate team in finance including Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain
• Support business divisions and acquisition companies to align and integrate all financial reporting.
• Presentation of KPIs, analysis, recommendations based on financial information to executive leadership team
• Support Canadian head office with objectives on fixed and variable spending within various corporate business functions e.g., HR, IT, Legal, Tax and Treasury
The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA)
• 5+ years of progressive experience (public accounting qualified)
• Strong technical accounting skills including global consolidations
• Experience at the corporate level from a multi-national company is preferred
• ERP system experience, advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
