We are seeking an Intermediate Process Engineer to join our Infrastructural Renewal, Design and Construction (IRDC) team to provide engineering solutions for water and wastewater projects for both municipal and private clients. This position will involve work on all aspects of project delivery as described below.
What you will do:
- Deliver infrastructure projects related to water and wastewater facilities, including water and wastewater pumping stations, storage structures, valve chambers, treatment plants, chemical storage and feed systems, pressure pipelines, condition assessments, feasibility studies, Municipal Class Environmental Assessments, preliminary and detailed design, construction contract administration, commissioning support and training.
- Communicate with internal discipline leads, sub-consultants, clients, contractors, and Regulatory agencies such as the MECP, local Municipalities, and conservation authorities.
- Work together with a dynamic team of subject matter experts.
- Lead various consulting activities such as proposal preparation, report writing, cost estimation, engineering drawing preparation, tendering, construction contract administration, and site inspection.
- Attend client meetings and conduct site visits.
- Contribute to team initiatives related to continuous improvement.
What you will need:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario
- Minimum of 10 years of civil/process engineering experience with a focus on water and wastewater projects.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, managing your own time and priorities in communication with other project managers and team leadership.
- Ability to build relationships and trust with internal and external team members.
- Strong organizational, oral, written communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment fundamentals including open-channel and closed-conduit hydraulics and treatment unit processes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Possess a valid driver's licence and have access to a personal vehicle.
