Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 nurse and a specialist interested in respiratory care to join our team based in Central Manchester.
The role involves a mixture of Hybrid work, including virtual patient support (working from home with provided equipment) and potential on-site responsibilities at our central Manchester offices. The contract duration is for two years, starting from the 1st week of April 2024.
Working Hours:
08:30 AM - 5:00 PM
5 days a week, Monday to Friday
2 year fixed term contract
Locations:
Hybrid work (WFH, helping with virtual patient support)
Possibly working Central Manchester Offices when required
Salary: £20- £25ph
Qualifications :
Minimum experience at (or above) NHS AfC Band 6.
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
For those performing spirometry, adherence to Association for Respiratory Technology and Physiology (ARTP) guidelines and registration on the national spirometry register.
Evidence of the following training is desirable but not essential:
Communicating with high-risk individuals about lung cancer screening
Consent training
Ionising radiation (medical exposure) regulations [IR(ME)R] for referrers
Locally designed training covering telephone assessment process, call
quality expectations and control measures, including identification of red flag symptoms
If not already held, training will be provided in the following modules:
