Job description
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Forest Road Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forest road work and supervising projects. The ability to work effectively and safely in the field with challenging terrain and weather conditions is expected. This role requires a willingness to travel, including potential assignments in Scandinavia, and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and plan forest roads, considering challenging terrain and environmental constraints.
· Conduct field work to gather data and ensure design feasibility as well as layout.
· Utilize GIS software for mapping and spatial analysis.
· Prepare and manage project budgets and cost estimates for project manager.
· Develop basic project schedules to monitor and ensure timely completion.
· Navigate permitting processes and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
· Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
· Supervising field Forman and coordinate with contractors and consultants.
Requirements
· Degree in Civil Engineering, Forestry Engineering, or a related field. Forest Technicians diploma and/or equivalent experience will also be considered.

· Proven experience in forest/Right of Way Road design and construction.
· Strong proficiency in GIS and related software.
· Ability to perform field work in diverse and challenging environments.
· Willingness to travel, including international assignments.
· Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in office suite software.
· Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships.
· Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimation, and basic project management.
· Familiarity with road building equipment and techniques and communicating effectively with Forman and operators.
· Understanding of permits, environmental regulations, and compliance requirements.
