Communications Strategist

We are currently looking for a Communications Strategist for one of our clients in the insurance industry.

What is in it for you:

Hourly salary of $35 to $39 based on experience.

12month contract.

Fulltime 37.50 hours per week.

Daytime schedule remote work.

Responsibilities:

Consult with various teams to stay on top of projects and initiatives designed to move our organization into 1st place within the industry.

Collaborate with Manulife business partners and senior leadership in support of strategic initiatives.

Develop leadingedge communications that are engaging informative and relevant to specific audiences.

Act as an advocate for advisors the leadership team and differing audiences continually seeking new and improved ways of communicating while building engagement and breaking through the clutter.

Deal with ambiguity change and competing deadlines in a fastpaced environment.

Develop and maintain a network of subject matter experts from across Manulife in support of content development.

Contribute to a highly effective marketing team fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Formally present and defend recommendations.

Take the initiative and accountability for the quality of your work operating with minimal supervision.

Influence others through a collaborative thoughtful and tactful communication style.

What you will need to succeed:

Degree or diploma in journalism communications or equivalent work experience.

5 years of experience in writing developing and implementing communications for diverse audiences including crafting senior management speaking notes and presentations.

Experience working within insurance or financial services and/or in an agile organization.

Strong process and change management skills.

Proven track record of consistently delivering projects on time and within budget.

Exceptional questioning and listening skills with the ability to synthesize information effectively for developing onmessage communications.

Demonstrated ability in collaboration and relationship management capable of setting goals and resolving issues effectively with others.

Excellent partner management skills adept at building and maintaining strong working relationships across various levels and geographical locations with professionalism in interactions including experience with senior management.

Proficient in consulting negotiation and influencing skills.

Outstanding organizational and project management abilities including the capacity to manage multiple projects prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Experience providing communications support for highprofile sensitive or key strategic initiatives as needed.

Ability to comprehend and communicate within our brands tone and voice.

Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).
