Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for the permanent, full-time position of Contract Supervisor (Parks Capital Projects) in the Strategic Planning & Design division of Parks & Recreation. The Contract Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of parks capital outdoor recreation construction projects. These projects may include the construction or reconstruction of playing fields, sport courts, playgrounds, park upgrades (retaining walls, parking lots, trails, walkways, bridges, fencing) and other Park infrastructure improvements.

The Contract Supervisor ensures the projects are built to the design and quality control objectives of the contract specifications and are constructed and delivered safely, within the approved budget and on schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:

Technical/Job Specific Knowledge and Abilities: Security Clearance Requirements: Applicants may be required to complete an employment security screening check.

WORK STATUS: Permanent, full-time

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm for 35 hours per week. Position may be eligible to participate in flexible work arrangements.

SALARY: NU05 on the non-union salary scale; $61,360-$84,370. Salary to be commensurate with education and experience.

WORK LOCATION: 2nd Floor – 88 Alderney Drive, Dartmouth (Ferry Terminal)
