Regent Park Animal Hospital has an immediate full time opening for 2 Veterinary Assistant positions. We are a very busy one doctor small animal practice.
This position is very demanding and requires a mature person that is confident, hardworking, comfortable working in a busy environment and able to learn quickly on the go.
The successful candidate should have experience working in a veterinary hospital, kennel and/or experience with animals. The candidate should have basic knowledge of veterinary medicine/care.
Hospital Responsibilities: include, but are not limited to, assist Veterinarian during examinations, treatments, surgeries and taking radiographs, maintain cleanliness of exam rooms at all times, client/patient input using our veterinary software, and effectively communicate with clients by answering phones, booking appointments, and front desk duties.
Kennel Responsibilities: include, but are not limited to, cleaning and sanitizing runs and cages, feeding and caring for dogs and cats, walking dogs, doing laundry and general cleaning.
This is a physical job and candidate must be able to multi-task, lift and carry up to 40lbs, stand and walk for a full 8hr shift. Candidate must have computer proficiency. Our hours are Monday-Friday 8am-6m. Candidate should have reliable transportation.
Wage is dependent upon experience. Priority will be given to applicants with Veterinary and/or Kennel experience.
