The Opportunity The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing payroll and all payroll-related duties and will work collaboratively with the controller. Must be enthusiastic with a strong work ethic. Integrity and high attention to detail are crucial for this role.
Duties & Responsibilities - Responsible for the hourly and salary payroll processing for a high volume, multiple sites, nonunion environment using ADP’s WorkForceNow
- Prepare a variety of reports and remittances for payroll & benefits vendors, and government agencies (i.e. CRA, WCB, WSIB, EHT)
- Maintaining and updating payroll modules as needed.
- Reconciliation of payroll and benefits-related general ledger accounts
- Processing in the reconciliation and preparation of year-end tax forms
- Track timesheets, attendance records, overtime, vacation, leave of absence, etc.
- Process employee status changes in a timely manner, generating ROEs and calculate final pay.
- Support the performance of month-end, quarter-end and year-end payroll reconciliations.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications - Diploma in Business Administration or Accounting
- 2 years of full-cycle payroll experience
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion.
- Experience and Strong skills using ADP’s WorkForceNow
- Deltek experience is an asset.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
- Strong organizational and time management to function in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with staff at various levels of the organization
Compensation The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience, skillsets, and qualifications.
