You will work with a licensed Strata Property Manager in all things related to the role while taking the licensing course with the goal of becoming a licensed Strata Property Manager within six months. This is an exciting and challenging career that starts with training in our Operations Coordinator role, which includes regular travel between our Victoria office and our beautiful new head office located in the Westshore.

The role day to day while taking the licensing course:
You will work with and support licensed property managers while taking the Strata Management Licensing Course. Upon successful completion of the Strata Management Licensing Exam, you will work on your own portfolio of buildings.
- Spearheaded the organization of the property managers, with everyone working towards the common goal of providing the best possible care for the portfolio of strata.
- Consistently demonstrate customer service excellence and help people.
- Manage emergencies with a decisive and calm demeanor, able to troubleshoot the situation and find positive solutions.
- Assist the Property Manager with obtaining quotes, scheduling maintenance, and confirming jobs with tradespeople at the direction of the Property Manager.
- Provide primary coverage for the front desk as needed.
- Develop skills in public speaking, leadership, relationship building, and budgeting.
- This position requires travel between offices, as you will be required to work from other offices from time to time.
- Other duties as assigned.
In addition to in-office training on processes and procedures, the training for this position will involve going to buildings, learning how building systems work, and attending strata council meetings to understand the interactions with clients.

Experience & Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in the customer service field including hospitality, restaurant, and retail industries.
- Excellent typing and knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Suite is required.
- Clean criminal record check.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and a vehicle in good working order.
- For this position, you will be required to be eligible to obtain a Strata Property Management license. Please review the eligibility requirements to be licensed in BC prior to applying for this role.
Position Details:
- This is a full-time position with a promotion to a permanent Strata Property Manager upon successful completion of the licensing course, our internal training program, and when a suitable portfolio is available.
- $55,000 annually to start, with an increase to $60,000 once licensed.
- Upon licensing, Property Managers are required to be on call for emergencies, which includes evenings, overnight and weekends.
- Working-from-home opportunities may be available once training has been completed (please note that in-office hours are required)
- Weekends and statutory holidays are off.
- Licensing and ongoing education costs are covered by Proline, through our education funding program.
- Your portfolio, once licensed, could include properties ranging from Campbell River to Victoria.
