Job Description Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated candidate to join our team as a Lead Project Planner in our hydropower division. This position is based in Ontario, in the Niagara region. As a Lead Project Planner position, you will play a pivotal role in the execution of major EPC hydropower projects by developing planning strategies and managing schedules. You will also act as a reference for the team and for our customer for project planning related subjects.

Responsibilities
As an active member of the project core team under the responsibility of the Project Director and the Planning Functional Leader you will :
- Develop and manage detailed schedules for hydropower EPC projects, in a collaborative framework with our customer.
- Build scenarios for schedule optimization and securing delivery while containing costs.
- Define the project strategies with the project core team and collaboratively with the customer.
- Review and update project schedules as per latest strategy changes, to support decision-making processes.
- Identify deviations to the schedule and lead discussions to find solutions.
- Identify and proactively address potential scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, and risks, proposing appropriate mitigation measures to ensure project success at the execution stage.
- Ensure adherence to contractual clauses regarding planning and deliverables.
- Present and discuss project planning and progress to customers and management.
- Prepare planning reports for internal and customer use.
- Act as a technical reference in project planning for new team members.
- Coordinate the planning-related subjects within the team and with the customer.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience in planning and scheduling for hydropower EPC projects.
- Advanced proficiency in planning and scheduling principles, techniques, and methodologies.
- Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Canadian work authorization.
Desired Characteristics
- In-depth understanding of hydropower project lifecycles is an asset.
- PMP or PMI-SP certification is an asset.
- Knowledge of the Last Planner System is an asset.
