Job Description Accounting Assistant
Location: Windsor Canada
Job Responsibilities:
- Performing various accounting tasks including data entry invoice processing and general ledger maintenance
- Assisting in the preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements
- Reconciling bank statements and investigating any discrepancies
- Supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Assisting with monthend and yearend closing procedures
- Assisting in the maintenance of accurate and uptodate financial records
- Providing administrative support to the accounting department as needed
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Experience:
The ideal candidate for this position would have:
- 13 years of experience in an accounting role or similar position
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Knowledge of financial reporting and analysis
- Experience with monthend and yearend closing procedures
