Job description
As the Landscape Maintenance Manager at Hawthorn Landscape Design, you would help our customers beautify and enhance the value of their properties. Teamwork, attention to detail and a desire to provide the highest level of service to our clients is key.

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT:Full Time
JOB SUMMARY:- Full-time, 40 hours per week, March to December.
- Flexible schedule from December to March.
- $60,000 to $62,000 per year.

THE PERFECT CANDIDATE – Qualifications & Skills:- A genuine, trustworthy person that will contribute to our work environment in a positive way.
- A minimum of 2 years experience with knowledge of landscape maintenance and plant identification.
- Comfortable with long hours, and unpredictable schedule.
- An early morning person – you normally wake up before 5:30am – not just for work.
- A natural leader and many people look up to you (in work and personal life).
- Always looking for ways to improve yourself and the people around you.
- Physically fit and capable of performing the required duties (repetitive movements including extensive push/pull/motion, bending/twisting/stooping, lifting 75 lbs.).
- Love physically challenging work in any weather and also like working behind the scenes to help improve systems.
- Enjoy the variety of working in both an office environment and out in the field directly with people.
- Proficient with Google Workspace & any Field Service Software.
- A valid Class 5 BC driver’s license with a clean record.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:- Monitor and supervise different crews and make sure the job is being done efficiently and to a proper standard.
- Ensure that enough, and the right staff, equipment, and materials are available to produce the work sold.
- Oversee customer complaints and service calls and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Be an exemplary representative of the company. Conduct on site meetings with strata council members and owners.
- Sell enhancement services to new and existing clients.
- Ensure contract compliance – measure budgets to actual costs and work with field crew leaders to ensure that crews perform work of excellent quality according to specifications.
- Coordinate with office and management staff and crews to schedule work.
- Oversee and perform equipment repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Conduct training on specific landscaping enhancement skills as needed.
