Job description
As a Compounding Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our mission to provide tailored medication options to patients. You will be responsible for compounding and preparing customized medications following precise formulas and established protocols. Your attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory guidelines will be essential in making sure that our compounded medications are safe.
Responsibilities: - Compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products and medications accurately and efficiently based on specific prescriptions and dosage requirements.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and compounding guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform quality control checks to verify compounded medications' integrity, potency, and stability.
- Clean and maintain an organized compounding area, ensuring proper storage and labelling of ingredients and finished products.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to address any concerns or questions related to compounding processes.
- To enhance knowledge and skills, stay updated with industry trends, new compounding techniques, and regulatory changes.
- Perform various administrative functions.
- Order supplies and equipment.
- Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Completion of the in-house sterile processing training.
- Strong knowledge of compounding techniques, equipment, processes, and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and formulas.
- Exceptional organizational skills to maintain accurate records and ensure proper inventory management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with healthcare professionals and colleagues.
- Knowledge of Kroll Software, MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
- Bachelor's degree in Science.
- 3 to 5 years experience in a pharmacy or manufacturing setting.
- Criminal Record Check.
