About your next Challenge as Lead, Material Management – Continuous Improvement :
As Lead, material management, you will be responsible to support the material management specialists in their daily activities.
You will drive continuous improvement of the processes and procedures in order to meet and exceed the customer’s expectations.
A key factor of success to meet our customer’s needs is work closely with several functions within the company (program, engineering, procurement, methods, production and finance) in a multi-site context.
What will you do:
- Drive the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to improve materiel management;
- Compare different practices on other projects that could be applied to similar problems encountered;
- Implement tools that can improve the program's processes in materiel management;
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators to ensure high performance standards are maintained;
- Develop, drive and communicate a program improvement plan (revision of the plan, identification of new opportunities, monitoring of progress and execution, communication of progress, etc.);
- Lead the development and implementation of material management strategies in a multi-site context;
- Improve and map different business processes in collaboration with other departments;
- Lead the development, implementation and communication of materiel management procedures;
- Act as a process specialist during audits, analysis of product impacts or requests for corrective actions.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent;
- A minimum of Nine (9) years of relevant material management experience (any other equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered);
- Master concepts of logistics chain and inventory management processes;
- Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Advanced level knowledge for Excel;
- Knowledge of SAP an asset;
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English (oral and written);
- Analytical, Adaptability, Teamwork, Initiative skills;
- Customer service oriented;
- Available to travel (10% of the time).
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory) :
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program ;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) ;
- For on-site positions, our location not accessible by public transport, car/carpooling required.
