Reporting to the IMM, the Production Planner is responsible for the short-term scheduling and long-term planning for Brandt production The incumbent is to work with Order Fulfillment, Shop Management, Purchasing, Engineering and other related personnel to ensure on-time delivery and an accurate schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Develop plant schedule Using MRP and MPS Resources
- Working with plant forecast and Order Fulfillment to develop an achievable schedule that meets the customer/shipping requirement
- Work with Order Fulfillment to set priorities on customers needs
- Schedule product for optimum flow thru plant to achieve on time delivery, lowest cost of product and reduced finished good inventory
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower to ensure 100% efficiency of manpower
-Schedule completion of products based on truck load configuration and flow from plant to loading and shipping in a continuous flow
- Identify and fill holes in schedule working with input from Order Fulfillment and sales
- Develop flexible schedule to maintain min/max levels at stocking points and hit promised delivery dates of core products
- Work with logistics and Order Fulfillment to ensure trailer and trucks are available as required for flow from plant to customer. This would include advanced communication of the schedule and prior week communication of true delivery date
- Ensuring all materials are available when required by manufacturing
Communicating with purchasing on manufacturing needs for parts ensuring lead time, lot size and forecast are in place for purchasing to get lowest price/best value possible
- Setting min/max stocking levels on parts and options based on replenishment times and take rates to ensure flexibility of delivery
- Make and plan production orders based on Sales Order requirements
- Flow process for completions and shipping of product including paperwork flow for invoicing
