We are utilizing advanced tools and technologies to shape our vision of building diverse and accessible AAA games.
Timbre's first Art Outsource Manager will be a communication bridge between our external Art partners and our internal Art and Production teams on our AAA ARPG project. In this role, they utilize their keen eye for detail, organization, and relationship management skills, to ensure quality assets are moving through our Art pipelines promptly. As an Art Outsource Manager at Timbre, you will: - Oversee the creation of art assets by external agencies, encompassing concept art, environments, and characters.
- Collaborate closely with the Art director to ensure the art delivered by third-party vendors meets Timbre's quality standards, complies with technical requirements, and is consistent with the artistic direction.
- Manage the onboarding process for new partners by working with IT to ensure their software needs are met and guide them through project orientation
- Engage with Timbre's internal Art team to evaluate work, enhance constructive feedback, and communicate our asset creation guidelines to our outsourcing partners.
- Coordinate with Artists, Game Designers, and Production to organize and uphold our schedule for outsourced art production.
- Utilize Adobe, Autodesk, and UE5 to examine art submissions at different stages of development.
- Develop and nurture productive relationships with third-party art providers
- Design evaluation processes for new outsourcing opportunities and assess test submissions from potential partners.
What you bring: - Proven experience in launching at least one title in an Art Outsourcing Manager role or similar position within the video game industry
- Comprehensive understanding of the asset production pipeline for a variety of game assets, such as environmental elements, character models, visual effects, and conceptual art.
- Strong communication abilities, capable of learning and articulating artistic concepts, critiques, and technical specifications effectively.
- An eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetic quality, ensuring the art assets are in line with our artistic goals.
- Thorough knowledge of the game development lifecycle and the ability to balance outsourced art tasks with in-house project timelines.
- An acquaintance with standard industry software and tools for creating and managing digital assets.
$76,000 - $114,000 a year
The compensation range reflects the minimum and maximum base annual salaries specific to candidates residing in Vancouver, BC. As Timbre hires candidates across Canada, additional salary factors will be considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant training or education, and location.
