Horticultural Individual/Group
Thank you for volunteering for the health and well-being of the people of Central Newfoundland!
Purpose: To implement the Horticultural practices for the grounds at CNRHC & Carmelite
Position Title: Horticultural Individual/Group
Location: Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center (CNRHC)
Key Responsibilities:
- Planting/transplanting Flowers at the beginning
- Watering, weeding and fertilizing flowers throughout the season.
- Caring for the flowers around the signs at CNRHC, as well as in front of CNRHC. Also, the Carmelite sign.
Reports to: Manager of Volunteer Services
Length of Appointment: Seasonal from June to mid/end of September
Time Commitment: Any day of the week; daylight hours. Suggested 2 hours per shift.
Qualification: Interests in Horticulture and/or knowledge of Horticulture practices would be an asset but is not required. Frequent bending, reaching and some light lifting will be required.
Support Provided: Orientation to garden and procedures will be provided by Support Services and Volunteer Services.
