What you’ll do The English Department at Capilano University seeks to fill several regular full-time positions at an appointment level of eight sections each with the start date of September 2024. We seek an innovative teacher-scholar to design and teach writing and literature courses at the undergraduate level. The successful candidates will show a strong commitment to mentoring students from a wide range of backgrounds

Candidates must have experience teaching writing and literature at the undergraduate level. A specialization in Indigenous, diasporic, and/or decolonial literatures or creative writing practices is preferred, but scholars in all fields of literature and creative writing will be considered. Ability to teach literature from 10th to 17th and 17th to early 20th centuries is also an asset, and/or experience with children’s literature. A PhD in English (or closely related field) in-hand, or near-completion at the time of application, is preferred. A Master’s degree is the minimum requirement
