The Opportunity:

The System Administrator & Software Enablement is responsible for the implementation, operation, support, and protection of the organization’s information systems and technologies. This role also manages and provides services for Challenger’s mobile infrastructure, telecommunication systems, and business productivity suite (O365). This role is also responsible for system administrative maintenance and support, system analysis to determine improvements, accurate documentation maintenance, and Service Desk escalation support. In addition to this, this individual plays a key role in enabling the organization to best understand and utilize business productivity tools.

Key Accountabilities:

System Administration and Support

• Participate in all ongoing cyber-security initiatives including interfacing with MSSP providers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and upgrade patches for servers and vendor software.
• Provide 2nd level technical support to the service desk team in resolving various IT service issues.
• Manage Office 365/Azure AD, applications, systems, security, user access.
• Assist in the implementation of technology changes including account setups, account access, and permission changes.
• Monitor system performance, disk and memory utilization, and applications to ensure that the production environment is running at peak performance.  
• Participate in maintaining and supporting the corporate network infrastructure including all network equipment. ▪ Troubleshoot LAN/WAN/VPN connectivity and performance issues with remote sites.
• Plan and implement disaster recovery strategies to ensure high availability of network and server infrastructure and business continuity.
• Document and maintain system configurations, processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Mobile Device Management / Telecommunication Management

• Interact with vendors and all levels of staff to support with the implementation and support of mobile and telecommunication initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong business process to support the administration of mobile devices. ▪ Support end users with mobile and telecommunication issues.
• Maintain business relationships with key vendors including negotiating purchases and service contract renewals.

Project Management and Software Enablement

• Meet with project stake holders assisting in the planning and implementation of IT and company projects.
• Champion software enablement; work closely with peers in IT to discover and blueprint the plans to implement software enablement opportunities.
• Work with users to enable enhanced usage of business productivity applications. ▪ Assist as require with end user education and training.

What You Need To Be Successful In This Role:

• Community College Diploma in Computer Science or related field
• 2-3 years of related experience
• Previous Service Desk experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Being comfortable with a range of devices (smartphones, iOS and Android mobile devices) for testing and / or deployment of applications
• Knowledge of using Telecom systems (PBX, MX, IP Office, Configuration Facility) using Fibernetics NEWT, CS1000, CallPilot, Contact Center, Voicemail Pro, and MX admin
• Detail and deadline oriented, with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment
• Ability to work independently and also in a team environment ▪ Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skill
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff
• A positive, friendly attitude
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Desire for continuous learning on new technologies
