Job Title: Assistant Project Manager (NewStar Experience)
Location: Vaughan, Ontario
Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 per year

Position Overview:
As the Assistant Project Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful planning, execution, and completion of residential construction projects. You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. Proficiency in NewStar software is essential to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to create detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Assist in the procurement of materials, subcontractors, and equipment.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and reports.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality, safety, and progress.
- Assist in the resolution of project-related problems and conflicts.
- Provide administrative support to the project team, including tracking expenses and updating project records.
- Maintain proficiency in NewStar software to manage project-related financial data and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the low-rise residential construction industry.
- Proficiency in NewStar software is required.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Ontario (an asset).
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Compensation:
- Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
