Job description
Foamco Industries, a distinguished foam fabricator and a leader in the furniture industry, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Continuous Improvement Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in enhancing our operational efficiency, reducing waste, and increasing throughput, with a clear pathway to growth. This role will initially have a heavy focus on improving capacity, efficiency, and throughput in our Mascouche QC location.
Job Details:
- Location: 3300 Avenue de la Gare, Mascouche QC & Occasionally 8400 Keele Street, Concord ON
- Regular Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday with occasional overtime required

Job Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Implement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, reducing waste, and optimizing workflows within the plant.
- Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams in executing key projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and delivering within time and budget constraints.
- Training & Development: Facilitate training sessions for staff on continuous improvement techniques and tools, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven approaches to identify areas for operational improvements and monitor the impact of implemented strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with department heads, production teams, and external partners to streamline processes and ensure the seamless integration of improvements.
- Innovation Advocacy: Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in continuous improvement and operational excellence, integrating relevant innovations into Foamco's operations.
- Leadership Preparation: Develop a comprehensive understanding of Foamco's operational dynamics
Skills and Requirements:
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in continuous improvement or manufacturing leadership
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Proven ability to manage and lead projects with a collaborative approach.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
- AI, AutoCAD, and CNC software experience
- Maintenance and troubleshooting expertise experience
- Experience with equipment relocation and commissioning
