Position : HSE Coordinator
Location: Sudbury, ON
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 Yearly
Industry: Construction/ Health and Safety / IHSA/ WSIB
Employment Term: Full Time / Permanent
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all HSE related regulations
- Responsible for site level implementation of all regulations along with ensuring a safe working environment
- Managing relationships with all internal and external members
- Being up to date with regulations and industry practices
- Responsible for performing daily audits for identifying and controlling any hazards
- Investigate all incidents and perform the necessary steps to avoid further occurrence in the future
- Ensure all workplace injuries are reported within required timeframes
- Complete incident reports as needed
- Travel and visit sites as required
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Experience :
- Post secondary education in occupational health and safety or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in a HSE role that involved managing, planning and implementation of HSE requirements
- Experience in Civil construction preferred
- Strong working knowledge of OH&S Acts and other applicable legislation
- Familiar with investigation and auditing techniques (COR/ISO)
- Experienced with WSIB reporting and IHSA COR requirements
- NCSO certification is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
- Position requires traveling to multiple locations, valid driver’s license required
