Job description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Collision Center Estimator to join our team at Wheaton Chevrolet. As a Collision Center Estimator, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure a smooth and efficient repair process.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Vehicle Damage Assessment:
Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify all damage, including both visible and hidden issues.
Utilize diagnostic equipment and visual inspection techniques to assess the extent of damage accurately.
Document findings and compile detailed reports for insurance companies and internal records.
2.Estimate Preparation:
Calculate repair costs based on labor, parts, and materials required for each repair job.
Prepare accurate and transparent repair estimates for customers and insurance adjusters.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair procedures and estimated costs.
3.Quality Assurance:
Monitor repair progress and conduct quality checks to ensure that all repairs meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Address any issues or discrepancies promptly to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
2 years experience with SGI/Mitchell Connect a great asset.
Proven experience as a collision estimator or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes, including structural, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs.
Proficiency in using estimating software (e.g., CCC ONE, Mitchell) and familiarity with insurance industry practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, insurance adjusters, and team members.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
