Position title: Receptionist
Department: Ma:yt Department

Sts’ailes is looking for an experienced hospitality receptionist to join their administration team. Your main responsibilities will be answering telephones, directing calls to different departments, greeting guests, tracking mail/deliveries, and provide general office administration support. We are looking for an energetic and committed individual who can communicate effectively and efficiently while attending to front desk duties. The receptionist will operate under the direction and supervision of the Ma:yt Director.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRMENTS:

  1. Minimum of 2 years work-related experience, certificate in office careers or a combination of equivalent training and experience.

  2. Must have good communication skills, listening skills, and a genuine interest in people and in helping others.

  3. Ability to operate a telephone switchboard to answer, screen, record and forward telephone calls.

  4. Must have tact and exceptional telephone etiquette.

  5. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside customers.

  6. Must be a good multitasker, well organized and able to complete assigned duties promptly and accurately.

  7. Must possess strong data entry/typing skills, computer skills (Microsoft Office) and administrative skills such as filing, faxing.

  8. Knowledge of general office procedures.

  9. Ability to operate all office machinery such as a postage machine, fax machine, photocopier, and all other office equipment.

  10. Ability to coordinate meeting rooms and bookings for company vehicles.

  11. Self-motivated, resourceful, and punctual.

  12. Ability to be both a team player yet works well independently with little or no supervision.

  13. Ability to adhere to confidentiality guidelines of all records, materials and communications concerning the operations of the administration department.

  14. Knowledge of Sts’ailes culture, traditions and history would be an asset.

  15. A valid Class 5 driver license.

Type of Position: Full-time - this position is subject to a 3-month probationary period and performance evaluation.
Salary Range: Based on the Sts’ailes Salary Grid
