The Department of Historical and Cultural Studies at the University of Toronto Scarborough is a vibrant department organized into distinct disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of study. Your opportunity:

Reporting to the Business Officer and working under the direction of the Chair or designate, the incumbent will provide comprehensive administrative support in the program and curriculum development process to enhance delivery of undergraduate programs and courses; manage the annual timetabling process and updating curriculum and calendar changes; advise students on program and course requirements and related academic policies; support the planning and implementation of student recruitment initiatives to increase enrolment and student retention in programs; collaborate with various offices on campus (Office of the Registrar, Admissions and Student Recruitment, Communications & Public Affairs, Academic Advising and Career Centre, Co-op Office) and external parties/organizations to further the Department’s linkages and success in promoting its programs, co-curricular activities and students’ learning experiences; oversee the development and maintenance of departmental web content and communication materials; and administer thestipends teaching budget of the Department.
