Job description
A leading Industrial Gas supplier in Redwater Alberta is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the microbulk gas operation.
Compensation
$48.00 $56.00/hour to start based on experience.
Overtime paid for Weekends and Holidays worked.
Schedule
Day Shift Monday Friday; 8:00am 5:00pm
Eligible for Education Assistance Program after 6 months of employment that includes 3 study visits to the USA along with other onjob training and certification opportunities.
Company Vehicle available for business related travel and tools provided.

Experience working with atmospheric/cryogenic gases and related equipment is a major asset. Knowledge of welding electrical maintenance or PLCs combined with postsecondary education in any of the related disciplines or Journeyman status in Electrical Instrumentation Refrigeration or Mechanical Maintenance are all definite assets. The Maintenance technician handles the assembly/disassembly of rotating equipment pumps and compressors across northern Alberta.
Requirements :
- Ability to work with pumps gearboxes compressors knowledge of cryogenic technologies and calibrate equipment
- Ability to repair and replace bearings gears seals and structural components
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot the rotating equipment and their mechanical parts: compressors pumps blowers and valves
- Able to complete reports read mechanical and electrical schematics
- Troubleshoot electronic and computer operated controls troubleshoot rental equipment and inventory of parts
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions of a technical nature and prepare technical reports
- Able to plan and implement the maintenance activities including parts ordering and inventory management
- Follow safety instructions and reduce risks related to daily work routine
- Represent the company to external stakeholders in a professional manner.
