Job description

Branch Manager - GTA West

Our client, an industrial tools distributor is currently looking for a Branch Manager for their location in the Mississauga region.

This is a very hands-on role where the branch partners with other internal branches for repair and services. Our ideal candidate will have technical aptitude and have previously worked in a service-focused role or as a technician and is looking to work their way into management. The role entails managing a branch as well as employees - Sales, service, operations, and people management will be the main focus.

Advantages
- Base salary - $90K plus commissions/ bonuses - On target earnings year 1 - $150-200K

Responsibilities
• Participation in the development of the company’s business strategy
• Closely monitor the competitors, markets, products, threats, and business opportunities, and take the necessary actions
• Managing the P&L and operations of the branch
• Responsible for hiring, and leading the team at the branch
• Supervise shipping/receiving of repaired or unrepaired units

• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections
• Source parts and pricing to provide quotations to customers
• Assess and interpret drawings, sketches, OEM manuals, and related technical data

Qualifications
• Post-secondary education
• Previous hands-on technical product experience - mechanical background an asset
• Knowledge of Mechanical gearboxes, bearings, and power transmission industry
• Machine shop experience as an asset
• Previous leadership experience - sales, service, operations
• Successful track record of sales success in B2B environment; experienced in specification & engineering sales and formal presentations
• Proficient in Mircosoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
