Position Overview
As the VP/Director of Sales you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our clients sales strategy. You will lead a team of sales professionals, leveraging your extensive experience in technology and SaaS sales to drive growth and foster relationships with enterprise customers.
Your goal is to position the client as the go-to platform for marketing teams in the events, experiences, and attractions space, build a repeatable sales cycle and to consistently exceed revenue targets.
Roles & Responsibilities
Sales Leadership:
- Provide hands-on leadership to the sales team, setting clear goals and strategies for achieving revenue targets.
- Mentor, motivate, and develop sales professionals to maximise their potential and performance.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture within the team.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a repeatable and scalable sales strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Identify key growth opportunities and market trends in the event, travel, and attraction industry.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing to ensure strong alignment that will allow us to hit the business goals and revenue targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with product development and marketing initiatives.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with enterprise customers, understanding their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Director of Customer Success and customer success team to ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation and ongoing support.
Sales Execution:
- Personally engage in strategic sales activities, including high-profile presentations, negotiations, and deal closures. NB - this will be a very hands on role initially.
- Attend conferences and client/prospect meetings in the UK and internationally.
- This is expected to involve several multi-week trips to North America each year with the founders and other team members.
- Drive the sales team to exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Utilise a data-driven approach to analyse sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
Forecasting & Reporting
- Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, providing regular updates to the finance team and management team.
- Leverage HubSpot CRM to track and report on key sales metrics, ensuring the team is well-informed and equipped to make data-driven decisions.
Industry Expertise:
- 10 years of technology/SaaS sales experience, preferably with a background in the event, travel, and attraction industries.
- Informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
Your Experience
- 10 years of proven success in technology/SaaS sales.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrated experience in selling to enterprise customers.
- Previous experience in the event, travel, and attraction industry is highly preferable.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
