POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the PIO, Direct Ship & Accessory Procurement Supervisor, the Accessory Supply Specialist maintains inventory control to ensure continuous product flow for their assigned product lines. This position is responsible for reviewing inventory levels and demand trends, placing replenishment orders, following up with suppliers, confirming invoices against deliveries and providing reports and analytical support to the Product Development & Marketing team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Act as the subject matter expert for the assigned accessory categories/vendors being supplied to the Hyundai, Kia and Genesis dealer network
- Monitor inventory levels, demand trends, and supplier performance to produce forecasts and place purchase orders to prevent back orders and achieve fill rate targets
- Review variances and resolve back orders by expediting with vendors or relocating inventory
- Analyze reports, identify any potential sourcing problems, and provide relevant information to management to assist with high level decision making
- Provide support for port installed accessory orders, inventory, and reporting
- Make recommendations for process, procedure and system changes to improve efficiency
- Oversee and administer various direct ship programs to ensure compliance with legislation, internal standard operating procedures and guidelines, such as the management of the EHC program for each province
- Administer the direct ship program and invoice processing to dealers
- Daily invoice review and confirmation for billing
- Check daily EDI rejections, deduct reason for error and take necessary action to correct
- Resolve dealer enquires for POD or missing invoices by contacting suppliers
- Review and resolve/reconcile past due direct ship supplier account statements
- Process, submit and/or confirm invoices by matching delivery tickets, ensuring adherence of the trade terms, and following up with vendors as required
- Address customer and internal requests and questions effectively and accurately to maintain high standards of customer service excellence
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

- College diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business and/or Automotive
- E xcellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in the automotive industry related to inventory management/planning/supply chain
- Basic accounting skills such as:
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Mathematical and deductive reasoning
- Critical thinking & active learning
- Invoice and payment terminology and knowledge
- Proficient in MS Office software with an emphasis on Excel, Word and Outlook
- Must be team oriented and customer service focused
- Bilingual English/French or experience with data mining are an asset
