We're in search of a post-secondary student (ideally enrolled in Education, Recreation Administration, or Physical Education) with strong leadership and coaching abilities, coupled with a genuine passion for engaging with children. This role calls for someone who thrives on organization, problem-solving, and delivering top-notch customer service while overseeing our enriching Day Camp program amidst the splendor of our northern summer.

Under the direction and supervision of the Special Event Coordinator, the incumbent will plan, organize, and implement a summer day camp program for the City of Yellowknife. The incumbent will be responsible for direct supervision of day camp leaders and all program participants.

Qualifications:

  1. Intermediate First Aid and CPR - Certification, copies must be provided;
  2. Training in High Five Principals or Early Child Development will be seen as an asset;
  3. Previous employment in a day camp setting will be seen as an asset; and
  4. A Vulnerable Sector check must be completed prior to commencing work.

START DATE: May 13, 2024 (40 hours per week, hours are typically 8:00-5:00pm Monday to Friday)
