Job description
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager of Nutrition and Dietary Services / Food Services Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining the tidiness and sanitation standards, assisting with food preparation, and providing administrative support to the department staff.
Main Duties:
Support the Home’s Quality Assurance and Risk Management Programs by assisting with therapeutic spreadsheet updates and audits, meal serving audits, inventory audits, sanitation and maintenance audits;
Participate in functional areas of food production to support meal services such as preparing scheduled meals/snacks/desserts/supplements, setting tables, etc;
Act as a support in the meal planning process;
Participate in the Workplace Inspection Program to maintain proper Health and Safety Standards;
Perform daily clerical duties;
Other appropriate duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Food and Nutrition program in a recognized University/College;
Experience working with seniors an asset;
Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Word and Excel;
Bilingual in English and Chinese is preferred.
