Licensed Practical Nurse
Temporary Call In
Labrador Health Center, Outpatient Department
Reporting to the Manager of Health Information Management, the LPN in the Outpatient Department is responsible to provide clinical support to the healthcare providers in the operations of the outpatient clinics.
Qualifications:
" Graduation from high school supplemented by the successful completion of the Licensed Practical Nursing course;
" Ability to work independently;
" The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
" Assists healthcare providers with procedures;
" Removal of suture, post op drains, and wound care;
" Complete EMR tasks as required;
" Maintain INR flowsheets for healthcare providers;
" Order, mix and draw meds for physicians;
" Ensure all specimens are labelled and transported correctly;
" Monitor and assess vital signs, glucometer readings, etc;
" Administers meds as per provider orders;
" Performs other related duties.
Salary:
" CG - 29 of the Nape-HS Collective Agreement $26.54 - 29.48 per hour Plus the applicable Labrador allowance.
Hours of Work:
" Monday to Friday, Variable Shifts
