Job description
Our client in the Retail Sector is looking for a Tech Architect on a 1 year contract. Candidates must have experience in a Retail environment.
7+ years of experience of eCommerce solution architecture, preferably in retail or regulated industries (banking, telecom, public sector)
5+ years of working experience with leading eCommerce stacks (e.g. Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Hybris, Magento and Sitecore Commerce, etc.)
At least 3 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations / AX 2012 R3 or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement.
At least 3 years of Database Administration / Development experience

Responsibilities
Lead the technical architecture discussion for solutions in a method that is consistent with enterprise frameworks and governance
Document current and target state
Translate business requirements into application and operational designs
Develop the architectural blueprint and document the process for solution designs
Provide functional solution design in form of a design specification to support business needs
Interface with internal customers to manage expectations and resolve issues related to enterprise applications
Assist Business System Analysts and Product Owners with the Functional Design Documentation and Jira ticket details
Lead Solution Design presentations to IT, Business teams, and leadership
Lead presentations to the Architecture Review Board, project teams, and Leadership teams to provide insight and gain buy-in for projects
Analyze proposed changes against the technology ecosystem to assess feasibility and understand the effect on the solution, data collection and interfaces
Gather and analyze business requirements
Interview business units to understand processes
Translate business needs into application and operational requirements
Document current and desired business processes to ensure optimal efficiency
Partner with the appropriate business units to identify business process efficiencies
Be a subject matter expert (SME) across OCS’ systems and integrations
Assist in the establishment and implementation of an architecture and standards methodology.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field of study and/or equivalent level of education and experience
Certified in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations
TOGAF 9.2 certfication or higher is preferred
5+ years of experience of eCommerce solution architecture, preferably in retail or regulated industries (banking, telecom, public sector)
3+ years of experience in a Solution Architect or Technical Architect or Functional Consultant role
3+ years of Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, GCP)
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations/AX 2012 R3 and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement
Experience with development or scripting
Experience with Database Administration / Development experience
Experience with Microsoft Azure Administration or Development experience is preferred
Experience managing multiple projects which included integrations with WMS, POS, ERP systems (XML, JSON, EDI)
Strong understanding of D365FO Finance modules
Summary
The Senior Technology Architect is responsible for evaluating the business needs and determining the IT approach by leveraging the appropriate software, hardware, and infrastructure. The Senior Technology Architect will design the solution that aligns with the business requirements and assists the Business Systems Analyst with documentation and implementation of strategy. Lastly, the Senior Technology Architect assists in the establishment and adoption of n architecture and standards methodology.
