Job description

Do you have experience interpreting and applying the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA)? Do you have an eye for detail and analytical and problem-solving skills?

If so, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) has an opportunity in its; Business Services Branch for you!

The Business Services Branch is part of the Research and Corporate Services Division (RCSD) and provides strategic, operational and adjudicative assistance to the ministry as it is responsible for accommodations services, emergency management, digital OMAFRA, freedom of information (FOI), information management, and privacy.

As part of our small supportive FOI/RIM team, you will process Freedom of Information Access requests from the initial application through to notice of the decision and any appeals. The files offer a variety of interesting agri-food topics, and the ability to learn new aspects of FIPPA with each file.

Note: This position is located at 1 Stone Road W, Guelph, however alternate work arrangements may be available
