Job description

Spectrum Health Care is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to be our  Clinical Nurse Educator  to support our teams in Mississauga and Toronto . This role provides clinical, teaching and defined administrative support centering on clinical education for staff to maximize the quality of care. This is a hybrid role starting at $85,000 - $90,000 per year.

Job Description

• Provides clinical teaching and staff development focusing on clinical education for staff
• Facilitates and expedites continuous learning and professional development through educating, coaching and mentoring
• Provides consultation to various team members on professional practice standards and evidence-based best practices
• Maintains a current knowledge base regarding best practice and leading edge technology in the area of practice and clinical programs; draws upon contemporary evidence and/or research-based practice methods and standards
• Develops, reviews and revises policies and procedures related to professional practice and clinical care, and provides supporting education and evaluation.
• Management of Learning Management System and content creation for regulated health professionals
• Performs regular quality monitoring audits to determine compliance to standards of practice and standards of care

Qualifications

• Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required
• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required
• Master Degree in Nursing, Education or Health Administration is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of home care clinical experience
• Experience as an educator including the ability to design and deliver educational programs both in person and within a learning management system
• Experience in the application of adult learning principles, critical thinking, and project management
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ability to learn proprietary software 
• Hybrid role with travel to Toronto and Mississauga
