Brandt Developments has a position available for a Mechanical Plumbing Manager at our Regina location. Reporting to the Director, the ideal candidate must have significant experience in the construction industry.

The Mechanical Manager is responsible for assisting in managing quality, cost, & delivery on projects.  They are responsible to help monitor the process & are responsible for supporting the Site Manager as the central hub. In order to manage quality, cost & delivery, Mechanical Plumbing Manager helps the Site Manager formally requisition packages of work (with a defined scope, budget & delivery) from the internal departments or 3rd party suppliers. This position will also facilitate the project contract administration with direction from the Site Manager to ensure a positive flow on the project.

Duties:
- Train our Mechanical foremen to be able to supervise the subtrades of the mechanical division to ensure they are meeting our standards & timelines across all of our projects.
- Work closely with mechanical design during pre-con to ensure we are specifying the most practical (cost effective and lead time) mechanical materials & equipment.
- Build our own internal HVAC installation team.
Work in tandem with the project managers & the electrical manager to ensure the project needs & schedule are being met based on the goals set forth by Senior Management, which is monitored by the lead PM & the Field Operations Manager
- Manage scope creep through effective use of change orders.
- Along with accounting, effectively manage the cash flow on projects by pushing to hit payment milestones, & promptly invoicing the customer
- Communicate any problems with team members or project results to the Site Manager which in turn will relay to the department managers
- Assist the estimating department in project deep dives to determine what worked well and what did not.
