Job description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Gardening Crew Lead. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of our gardening team(s) to ensure the successful execution of planting projects and the maintenance of outdoor spaces. As the Gardening Crew Lead, you will play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining beautiful gardens while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:
Leadership: Lead and motivate the gardening team, providing guidance, support, and expertise to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
Day to Day Coordination: Oversee the planning and execution of ongoing garden maintenance, including weeding, planting, pruning, fertilizing, and container care.
Task Delegation: Efficiently delegate responsibilities among crew members, considering individual strengths and expertise, to maximize productivity and achieve timelines.
Quality Control: Ensure the quality and precision of gardening work, maintaining high standards of aesthetics and plant care.
Equipment Management: Supervise the proper use and maintenance of gardening equipment, including but not limited to hand tools, trimmers, blowers other misc tools to guarantee optimal functionality and safety.
Client Interaction: Interact with clients, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction with the gardening services provided.
Training and Development: Foster a learning environment by providing guidance, training, and mentorship to crew members, promoting skill development and growth within the team.
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and standards, ensuring a secure working environment for the gardening crew, clients, and visitors. Requirements:
Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in gardening, landscaping, or a related field, with a track record of successful garden management.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and inspire a team.
Plant Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of plants, annuals, and gardening practices to guide and instruct crew members.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational abilities to coordinate tasks, manage schedules, and meet required deadlines.
Communication: Effective communication skills for client interaction, team coordination, and training purposes.
Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently, ensuring smooth project execution.
Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks associated with gardening.
