Pleasant St. Medical Group is seeking a full or part time Family Physician to join its professionally managed clinic. This centrally located practice is just minutes away from downtown Dartmouth and is a short drive to Dartmouth General Hospital. When at full complement, this practice is comprised of six Family Physicians, a Nurse Practitioner and a Family Practice Nurse whose services are equally shared amongst physicians. This clinic is professionally managed and fully supported by friendly administrative staff. The clinic is on the EMR, Med Access. The overhead fees are competitive for the Dartmouth area.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
Act as a patient’s advocate
Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
Full-time
Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
