About Atlantic Cultivation & Atlantic Cannabis (ACL)
Atlantic Cultivation is a fully integrated cannabis producer and retailer located in the heart of St. John's, NL. We cultivate strains of exceptional quality in our purpose-built facility and take those products to market in our 8 retail stores, called Atlantic Cannabis. In 2022 we ranked #1 in market share in NL, and in 2023 we're excited to be taking our product country wide!

We are currently recruiting for a variety of positions within our Production Team, which includes both the Cultivation and the Processing departments.
The Role - Production Technician
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain plant and crop health under the guidance of department leads.
- Scout croups for signs of basic plant problems, such as discolouration, pests, and diseases.
- Propagation and management of propagated plants.
- Work as part of a packaging line where attention to detail is crucial.
- Trimming cannabis, making hash, rosin, or other products as advised.
- Using a pre-roll machine.
- Ensure shipping and receiving activities are done accurately and on time.
- At all times, follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production activities to produce consistent quality cannabis products.
- Ensure workspace, equipment, tools and production areas are clean and sanitary, and within regulatory guidelines.
- When documenting activities, ensure good production practices (GPPs) are followed at all times.
- Ensure refuse and waste products are managed and destroyed as per the current SOP's.
- Employ professional and clear communication practices to maintain a positive and progressive team atmosphere.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by department leads.
The ideal candidate has:
- At a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in and/or knowledge of commercial production horticulture, specifically cannabis, is considered an asset.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is crucial.
- Able to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
- Physically fit, as these jobs may require you to perform various manual labour tasks.
- Great communication skills - proficiently able to read/write/speak in English.
Other details:
- The typical work week is Mon to Fri from 7am to 3pm or 230pm to 1030pm.
- Depending on operational needs you may be required to work longer shifts (10 or 12 hours) and/or weekends.
