How will you create an impact:
The Workforce Innovation Consultant (WIC) provides expertise, direction, education, and support to facilitate the achievement of the mission, goals, and objectives of Interior Health (IH). The WIC builds strong liaisons with cross-functional teams, Directors and Managers across IH, identifies workforce challenges, and develops strategies to address those challenges. In addition, the WIC provides insight and recommendations to various levels of management on issues that relate to both their strategic direction and day-to-day operations. The WIC also provides training and education for workforce-related subject matter to all levels of the organization.

In alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program, employees shall adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times and attend all required training. Employees are responsible to report any identified hazards, unsafe conditions or incidents to the manager or supervisor immediately.

What will you work on:
• Proactively develops strong liaisons with Directors, Managers, and Leadership Teams to establish a level of influence and trust in their decision-making processes with regards to staff utilization and workforce challenges within their portfolios.

• Generate metrics, analyze data and identify trends to understand and communicate suggested workforce data-driven solutions to optimize existing workforce and staff utilization.

• Responsible for complex ad hoc and regular reporting requests generated from multiple data sets, analyzing subsequent information, and making recommendations based on findings.

• Analyzes site-level workforce data to support the development of optimized workforce plans for baseline staff schedules and relief requirements considering current HR collective agreements and practices, skills mix, staff type, distribution, staff retention and recruitment challenges and innovate data-driven solutions

• Provides workforce content expertise when building new systems and reports; requires an understanding of the customers’ needs and an ability to influence and communicate with associated parties to ensure the final product is accurate, reliable and viable for all parties involved, as well as for IH as a whole.

• Acts as the resource for workforce data expertise on a variety of teams relating to, but not limited to, Human Resource Business Partner and Business Consultant workforce optimization working group, Human Resource Planning, Workforce Optimization, Emergency Staff Redeployments, Clinical Network service planning and Collective Agreement Specific Occupation working groups, among others

• Provides support to Managers and to the NBA Vacation Planning team in the Annual Vacation Planning Process by advising on best practices, working through complex issues, and ensuring compliancy with IH policies and Collective Agreements.

• Actively participates as a workforce data expert in organization-wide and site-specific HR projects relating to workforce planning and optimization such as staff utilization, recruitment, retention and redeployments.

• Develops and delivers training and educational material to support all levels of the organization with Workforce-related functions in Staffing and Human Resource Data.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, analytical, or healthcare-related studies.
• A minimum of three years of experience in a role related to the duties of the position.
• Or a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above.

Skills and Abilities
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with an ability to be flexible on work times and assignments.
• Customer service orientation, with an ability to be innovative, lead, influence, and develop others to reach organizational objectives.
• Excellent computer skills in order to access and manipulate data from various systems to produce accurate workforce-related information.
• Ability to think systematically and strategically and approach problems with a data-driven analytical mindset.
• Required awareness of the organizational structure and how to navigate through it to ensure internal clients are provided efficient and effective service.
• Ability to participate on a multi-disciplinary team and ensure deadlines and milestones are met.
• Ability to adapt and produce high quality results in a constantly changing and developing environment.
• Ability to multi-task and perform numerous tasks for various clients within acceptable time frames.
• Ability to create and make effective presentations to leadership teams, Managers, and staff.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Comments

Salary range for the position is $72,445 to $104,139 and starting salary will be based on education, training and experience
