General Information

We are now accepting applications for:
Environmental Initiatives Programmer
Planning & Building
Term position up to two (2) years

The Environmental Initiatives Programmer is responsible for supporting the implementation of the City’s Climate Change Action Plan, including active transportation, energy efficiency, and waste diversion initiatives.

MANDATORY EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12, GED, or Mature High School Diploma
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in the field of environmental studies to demonstrate ability to perform duties such as program administration and project management
- Ability to hold and maintain Class 5 Province of Manitoba driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Post-secondary accreditation or course work in the areas of sciences, environmental studies, project management, communications, or equivalent
- Previous experience coordinating or supervising volunteers
- Demonstrated continuous learning

Position Conditions: This is a full-time, term position of 36.25 hours per week. This position will be offered in accordance with conditions identified in the Collective Agreement between the City of Brandon and CUPE Local 69.
