Business Systems Analyst (WMS Application Specialist)
Our client, a successful well known 3rd party distribution/logistics company is currently searching for a Business Systems Analyst to join their team in Oakville. We are looking for someone that has experience with WMS implementations in a multi client distribution environment. This is an in office position.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document business processes, goals, and requirements.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather detailed business needs.
- Analyze gathered requirements and translate them into detailed system specifications.
- Create comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.
- System Implementation and Support:
- Support the implementation of a new WMS solution, becoming the Subject Matter Expert on all aspects of the system.
- Provide support and training to end-users during the deployment phase.
- Assist in the implementation of additional new systems or system updates.
- Model data structures, workflows, and user interfaces to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Review documentation for system releases to identify enhancements and changes that may impact existing processes.
- Ensure system releases and updates are rolled out successfully with no interruption to daily operations.
- Manage system access and data integrity.
- Support and manage system integrations.
- Review customer requirements and evaluate system capabilities to support them.
- Identify gaps and workshop solutions.
- Support the onboarding process including integration, data management and uploads and workflow design.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate that system solutions meet business requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Propose and implement enhancements to existing systems to better support business objectives.
- Seek out new solutions and systems to resolve existing or anticipated operational challenges.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Post secondary graduate in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with business process modeling and analysis techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
