Position Summary We are looking for a Debt Solutions Manager to join our team at our Burnaby office! In this position the ideal candidate will be involved in meeting with potential clients to review their financial situation and recommending a solution based on one of the services we offer.
Major Responsibilities - Assisting the firm within a dynamic position with the development and growth of its existing insolvency practice in the Burnaby and surrounding areas
- Responding to initial contact from insolvent persons by telephone, e-mail, etc., meeting clients face to-face or in telephone meetings, understanding their particular needs and matching those to one of our solutions where it is in the client’s best interests
- Liaising with the centralized teams that handle most initial calls and web inquiries and other departments
- Drafting documentation and inputting data in appropriate systems
- Documenting client situations clearly to facilitate subsequent data processing in the back office
- Retaining the critical relationship with the debtor during the administration of the estate
- Handling communication of material issues to the debtor
- Developing your practice in any region where we practice as none of our territories are considered exclusive
- Familiarizing yourself with all products and services offered by Farber Financial Group and making those services available to your referral network as opportunities present themselves; and
- Attending training, team meetings, and Firm events as required
Education - High School Diploma
- Two years of post-secondary education with a strong emphasis on business skills preferred
Qualification/Experience - Proven willingness to develop and grow a practice area with the support of firm management
- Enrollment in the Trustee’s program, or desire and willingness to enroll in the program, would be an asset but is not a requirement
- Completion of, or willingness to enroll in, the Insolvency Administrator’s Course would be an asset
- Consumer insolvency practice experience is considered an asset but is not a requirement
Knowledge/Skills and Ability - Excellent listening, selling and closing skills in the context of our highly professional and ethical standards
- Demonstrated track record in achieving sales quotas and results oriented attitude
- Strong interpersonal and negotiations skills
- Proficiency in personal one-on–one marketing; experience in building trust and maintaining long term referral relationships
- High personal standards of integrity, honesty, empathy and trustworthiness
- Co-operative team player with an unwavering focus on customer service
- Well organized and detail-oriented so that the paperwork flowing from a successful sale can be effectively dealt with by our back-office infrastructure
- Assertive, confident, enthusiastic, and a passion for sales, with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Assume personal ownership and responsibility for your work and actions
- Ability to work independently to meet objectives, goals and timelines
- Excellent time management skills to ensure clients’ needs are being actively heard and met
Additional Requirements - Valid British Columbia driver’s license and a reliable, licensed and insured vehicle
- Ability to travel to other offices in Ontario and Alberta as required to attend meetings and training
- Willing to accommodate clients for evening or weekend appointments as necessary to maximize opportunities
Remuneration - Base Salary, plus incentive
- Expenses are reimbursed as per Firm policy
