The Campaign Manager is a leadership position responsible for the achievement of the upcoming Open Doors-Open Minds campaign fundraising goals. Working closely with the Director of Fund Development and Alumni Engagement, they will work strategically to develop and activate a 3-year campaign plan. Reporting to the Director, Fund Development & Alumni Engagement this experienced leader works with the Director, Fund Development and Alumni Engagement, College leadership and the Campaign Cabinet to lead, design and implement the strategy in managing and activating the $35 million Open Doors-Open Minds Campaign, which ensures that post-secondary education remains accessible for all. This is a senior role accountable for creating and implementing the campaign strategy that will support the College’s plan to raise endowment and operational funding to support the College’s Open Doors-Open Minds Strategic Plan.
The Campaign Manager will be a forward thinking, innovative and creative individual who will use their expertise in the execution and guidance of a multifaceted plan to establish solicitation priorities, manage prospect lists, develop and execute targeted cultivation plans, implement solicitation strategies for a range of projects, and be accountable for planning and managing cultivation events. This position will work closely with the Executive team, Director, Fund Development and Alumni Engagement, senior leadership, donors and fundraising volunteers to enhance and support the overall mission of the College and to assure that ample unrestricted and program funds are generated.
Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities
This is a critical role in Bow Valley College’s continued success and growth. The role is accountable for the following:
Working closely with the Vice President, External and Director, Fund Development & Alumni Engagement, devise and implement a multifaceted fundraising endowment and operations campaign that will support Bow Valley College’s plans for executing its Open Doors-Open Minds strategic plan, ensuring that post-secondary education remains accessible for all.
Manages and stewards relationships with potential, current and past donors and partners.
Serves as a project manager, working in close partnership with various stakeholders to ensure accountabilities are met for the quiet and public phases of the Open Doors-Open Minds campaign:
Establishes the campaign’s solicitation priorities, manage prospect lists, prospect research, and prospect tracking.
Exercises overall managerial discretion of the Development Officer, Major Gifts for Campaign and the Donor Relations Officer.
