ACCOUNTING SERVICES COORDINATOR

Permanent Assignment

35 hours per week

Step 1 Salary: $30.33 per hour / Step 2 Salary: $33.68 per hour

Summary of Duties:

Reporting to the Manager of Finance, the Accounting Services Coordinator – District Office position is the coordinator of the school function and the key liaison between the schools and the board office.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 Graduation or equivalent
• Successful completion of two years post-secondary education in accounting
• Three of more years of relevant financial and accounting experience
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to analyze, interpret, problem solve and use judgement.
• Minimum keyboarding speed of 40 wpm
• Demonstrated intermediate Excel Skills
• Knowledge of office procedures and record management
• Knowledge of computerized financial accounting systems
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to attend district sites.

  Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Proficient in the use of Power School Atrieve
• Proficient in the use of KEV School Cash
• Experience with training non-financial staff on financial procedures
• Knowledge of School District operations, polices, and procedures.
