We’re seeking a skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Technicians to join us at the vibrant CFB Esquimalt dental clinic. As a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician; you’re an integral part of our dental health care team, ensuring top-notch sterilization and maintenance of crucial medical equipment.

Responsibilities
- From receiving to storing, you’ll handle it all – disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, testing, packaging, labeling, sterilizing, and storing reusable medical devices and supplies with precision and care, strictly adhering to established policies and standards.
- Your keen eye for detail will shine as you conduct biological/chemical indicator tests and swiftly address any unfavorable results, ensuring that our equipment meets the highest standards of safety and efficacy.
- You’ll take charge, initiating recalls or troubleshooting on defective or non-compliant equipment to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Releasing sterilized loads based on quality assurance testing results and process parameters.
- Your knack for organization will be put to good use as you meticulously document and report all MDR activities, keeping track of inventory and ensuring everything is labeled and stocked up to date
- Operating and maintaining a variety of equipment will be second nature to you, as you perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance procedures like a pro.
- You’ll provide invaluable guidance and training to your colleagues, ensuring everyone is up to speed and compliant with the latest policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a formal Medical Device Reprocessing training program with an accredited college or institution
- Certified as a Medical Reprocessing Technician through the Canadian Standards Association. NOTE: Candidates who are not currently certified, but who are eligible to write the Canadian Standards Association Certified Medical Reprocessing Technician Personnel exam will also be considered
- Provincial certification (as required) by the province of employment
Additional Requirements
- Ability to obtain Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
