Job Purpose and Impact
The Dairy Technical Specialist will deploy technologies by supporting interactions with clients and prospective customers and help them understand how the organization can provide solutions for them and improve profitability. In this role, you will ensure that new technologies and tools are utilized to provide competitive customer focused solutions.
Key Accountabilities
- Support sales with dairy ration formulation and ongoing trainings.
- Establish and cultivate effective relationships with customers to maintain existing business and gain new ones.
- Provide commercial prospecting and anticipate technological developments.
- Support sales efforts to understand and solve complex customer issues.
- Support strategic marketing technology and food safety quality and regulatory to develop and proof new products.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma/certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field (Dairy related field) or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of related work experience
- Extensive experience in dairy technical support and ration balancing formulation
- Possess a valid Canadian drivers licence in good standing authorizing you to drive independently during your employment.
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s or Doctorate degree, doctor of veterinary medicine or related advanced degree
- Minimum of four years of related work experience (can include experience gained in academia)
- Experience with Dairy Ration Formulation and Herd management software (PC Dart, Dairy Comp, Lely Horizon, Delpro, etc.)
- Experience with customer support
- Forage knowledge/experience
Position information
- Relocation assistance will be provided for this position within Canada.
- This position is open to remote work within Woodstock, ON, only.
- Travel is required to cover the area of responsibility. (Up to 50% travel is requested)
