In this role, you will:
- Oversee the Project Planner and liaise with Material Planning Team when planning customer work specifications and ensure the customer requirements are being met (this will include resource and material identification)
- Provide the Project Manager with technical planning support both during project bid submission and project execution
- Supervise the Project Planners & liaise with Material Planning Team with investigating/compiling a listing of material requirements required by the work specification
- Direct Project Planners & liaise with Material Planning Team in the creation and closeout of production work orders within the company’s project software to support the schedule
- Maintain good relationships with the client and the client’s agents and pursuing resolution of technical requirements or conflicting project requirements so a full understanding of the client’s requirements can be agreed
- Ensure compliance with all working practices, standards of discipline, safety and quality, are maintained through familiarisation and compliance with the requirements of extant Corporate Procedures
- Manage the Project Planners & liaise with Material Planning Team including the setting of weekly targets and Objectives
- Review the work of the Project Planners to ensure consistency and quality
The ideal candidate brings:
- 8+ years planning and trade experience (Mechanical, Electrical, or Welding) with leadership experience, Mechanical or Pipe System experience preferred for this position.
- Experience using Project Control software
- Experience with Royal Canadian Navy (or similar experience) operating system would be considered an asset
- Experience in commercial Estimating & Detail Planning
- You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
